The Reading Room acts as the hub for our community recycling projects. Collection points can be found at the rear of the building. See below for a list of items that are included:
BLUE BIN: Oral care products – Any plastic or electric/battery toothbrush heads; any plastic toothbrush and outer packaging; toothpaste tubes, caps and outer cartons; dental floss cartons and outer packaging.
SILVER BIN: Empty plastic and foil tablet blister packs.
RED BIN: Plastic pens, markers, refills, mechanical pencils and highlighters; correction bottles, tapes and pens; felt tips.
YELLOW BIN: Selected personal care product containers – Plastic/metallic tubes for body creams, ointments and moisturisers;mascara tubes and wands; lipstick, lip glosses and lip balm containers; flexible plastic packaging for facial cleansing wipes only; lip/cheek highlighter and bronzer sticks; plastic eyeshadow compact
GEEEN BIN: Crisps, hoola hoops, nuts, popcorn and pretzel packets only, plus outer packaging of multi packs of same
Empty, crushed aluminium cans and foil (Helipads for Hospitals Charity) – Large, separate labelled recycling wheelie-bin.
